At Victory Family Church International, the Ushers Ministry fulfills an important role of making the sanctuary clean, organized, comfortable, safe and welcoming to all. Ushers represent the Church in a very visible way as door-keepers, greeting the visitors and church members coming into the sanctuary.

An Usher is the first person a visitor to the Church/worshipper encounters and this gives an impression to the visitor/worshipper as to whether Church is welcoming and full of love, thereby highlighting the importance of the role that the Usher plays in the worship experience.

Ushers are responsible for making members of the congregation and visitors feel comfortable by cheerfully welcoming them; and more importantly assist the Pastor in providing spiritual dignity to the worship service by ensuring that there is order in the sanctuary. Ushers help set the tone in preparation for the worship service, as well as maintain the smooth flow of service. Ushers help seat visitors and members of the congregation in line with 1 Corinthians 14:40, "Let all things be done decently and in order". Ensuring hygiene and environmental sanitation in Church is yet another important role that an Usher plays.

Ushering is an opportunity to serve God by serving God's people and to actively and faithfully participate in the Church service – Ephesians 6:7, "Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people". Ushering provides a wonderful way for one to begin to grow and to continue to serve in a very important role for the Church.
